Bang To This-Hook the Captain
|
Reach, Red Blood
|
“Moving on to the next track, 'Reach' has
vocals performed by Petra Faulk, and they are very good. A
housey track with break-beats and sweet pads.
Track 8 of this cd is one of my favourites,
'Red Blood' mixes Petra's
vocals with steady grooves and hot melodies.”

Reach
|
“Bang to This, his sophomore effort by a few
months, represents a pleasant separation from his first release.
Where the former was a fair collection of club songs, most too
repetitive to be remarkable, a few gems on this album truly set
it apart. The opening track, "What's Inside of Us", sets a good
tone. This is followed lazily by "Reach", "In Dreams", and "Take
Me Away".
The rest of the album is primarily occupied by decent if prosaic
club/house to round it out. Even so, Bang to This represents a
very listenable, easygoing indie electronic album. I look
forward to the Captain's next full release with open arms.”

“Featuring the US Top 10 DJ chart hit 'Reach' and many other
exquisite pop/house confections, 'Bang to This' - the debut
release from hook the captain - includes a multitude tracks that
have subsequently been signed for label and compilation
releases, including: 'temple', 'red blood' 'reach' and more.”

“I like this release as it provides different underlines of
the ‘Spiderwoman (original)’. Again XEW provides an
understatement of great experimental music. ^_^”
